There are over 17,000 opportunities a day to breathe in airborne germs. Furthermore, in our daily life, we are exposed to new stronger pathogens, new diseases and even epidemics. Some bacteria like the Staphylococcus aureus (‘golden staph’ or MRSA) and Neisseria gonorrhea (the cause of gonorrhea) have developed resistance to products that were once commonly used to treat them.
Considering the amount of time most people spend at work, it’s no surprise that offices, factories, and other work facilities are hotbeds for bacteria and viruses, which affect the productivity and absenteeism level within the facility, and the quality of the end product.
Pathogens and especially resistant strains put every and each person at risk, but mostly affecting, vulnerable individuals such as children, pregnant women, elderly and sick/immunocompromised people, especially when sharing items, spaces and air in closed facilities such as schools, public areas, playgrounds, elderly houses, etc. which indirectly touches the whole society and gets to all sectors.
